I'm starting to get you acquainted with, Simba, so I figured the best way of doing so is to tell you about some of the hysterical stories of when he was a young orange lad. When we first took Simba in everyone loved him; even the cat haters and the allergics, literally everyone. He was such a cute orange kitten that fit into the palm of your hand. Simba was surely a people person, just like me. :) He enjoyed everyone's company :)
When he was only a couple weeks old, he was still becoming familiarized with our house and everyone in it. He was so young that still didn't even know his own refection -- unlike humans where it takes up to 18 months to identitfy our own reflection -- Simba was at the stage of development. One day, my roommates and I caught Simba looking into the full length mirror and running to attack the "other" orange cat that was staring back at him. It was the funniest thing ever and wish I had it on camera because
After doing an array of adorable acts like this, he started to grow into a young frenzy feline. He began to venture into a new world, experimenting with his mischievous side. This was when we first noticed his dog-like behavior. He would play fetch all the time! And he always wanted the scraps of our food because cat food was too bland for him and his unique purrsonality. One evening I got home from working at Casey's Grill and Bar and sat down to enjoy my takeout dinner (penne con pollo, soo yummmy) Well, I sure wasn't the only one who loved it because when I left he room for maybe 5 minutes, I came back to Simba sitting on the table licking his chomps. He ate almost the ENTIRE meal! Well, there goes my din din. I didn't think in a million years a cat would like pasta and chicken smothered in garlic sauce. He sure has taste for good food!
A few days later, my roommate got an ugly pink stuffed flamingo for her birthday. We always caught Simba playing with it so we gave it to him Simba and laughed as he played fetch with it. It was hysterical because the flamingo was literally bigger than he was. When he tried to carry it was...ehh just watch the video clip below. You'll see... What we thought to be a harmless game of catch, slowly grew into a complete obsession with his pink flamingo.
Simba grew very fond of his pink toy and it soon became his release. Literally.
Whoa! Sorry to show such a graphic video BUT it was so funny how much he cherished that pink flamingo. We got him neutered and threw that thing away ASAP, so don't worry he doesn't do that anymore. Thank God.
His innocence has redeemed himself as you can see with these adorable photos :)
Now, his days consist of sleeping, eating, playing, and snuggling with his favorites...
Ahhh what a life! :)
Keep checking back for more!
xoxo, goodnight
